Description

The “Teryan Cultural Center” NGO has been carrying out the creative initiative “Color It Yourself” since 2018.

“Color It Yourself: Armenian National Costume” is am educational album designed for children. It features characters dressed in the traditional attire of 15 provinces of Greater Armenia and 2 provinces of Lesser Armenia.

The book features rugs originating from various regions of Armenia, along with their accompanying ornamental designs. The ornaments disguise a memory, and frequently, it is the patterns that narrate the story instead of people.

“Color It Yourself” is an alphabet book (Armenian letters1, 2) designed for children and teens. Through this book, they get introduced to ornamental lettering.
